Boyd Plaza, located in the heart of downtown and adjacent to the Columbia Museum of Art, has undergone a complete renovation to create a more open, urban-park-like amenity for the community. Continuing the energy of the Main Street redevelopment, the renovated plaza is pedestrian-friendly and includes a grove of mature hardwood trees, seat walls defining newly planted areas, and a new fountain base for the existing Keenan sculpture. Two pavilion structures are incorporated to provide shaded areas for seating and events, as well as spill-out space for the Museum. The existing sculptures throughout the Plaza are carefully relocated within the site to enhance the new design.
