This 850-car garage, developed for the City of Columbia, serves its neighbors, the new Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center and Hilton Garden Hotel with convenient parking in the growing Vista district. The garage image responds to the context of the Vista in general and the Convention Center in particular. It is organized by the efficient rhythm of the garage structural bays incorporating brick-colored precast concrete and an aluminum frame screening system. The garage includes retail space along Lincoln Street facing the Convention Center with a glass stair and elevator towers on two corners. The garage connects to the first level of the Hotel for easy access for visitors. Quackenbush Architects + Planners, as Design Architects, worked with the LPA Group of Columbia, who served as the Architect-of-Record.
