High School Athletic Projects
Quackenbush Architects + Planners collaborated with Richland School District One to enhance multiple athletic facilities. Notably, they revamped the Columbia High School (2018) competition field, enhancing the experience for athletes and visitors. This involved a new concourse, upgraded bleachers (900 seats total), synthetic turf, sports lighting, a press box, scoreboard, and a modern 1,600 SF support building. Additionally, the plan encompassed Dreher High School (2020), featuring a 360’x195’ synthetic turf field for football, soccer, and lacrosse, along with 600 seats, 5 tennis courts with lighting, a concessions-restroom building, and parking.
