Paula, a native of Argentina who grew up in Miami, Florida, has an undergraduate degree in Architecture from Miami Dade College and a Master of Architecture degree from Florida International University. Since spring 2019, she has worked as an intern architect on a number of commercial, education and historic projects.

She says her interest in architecture started when she was a teenager and her parents supported her throughout her schooling. “My father really encouraged me to pursue the field,” she says.

Paula is fascinated by renovation projects on historical buildings. “South Carolina has a lot of historic construction, which makes it exciting to work on preserving and renovating them,” she says. “Researching historic masonry and tile can be similar to a kind of time travel experience, and investigating the history of projects helps you grow as a professional.”
