This new elementary school for Charleston County Schools will be located on Johns Island. The 91,000 SF program for grades 2–5 currently accommodates 700 students. The school will include core spaces that allow the expansion of up to 900 students with an additional classroom wing.

The site includes many significant live oak trees and wetlands that will be protected and treated as amenities in the design. The two-story plan organizes safe and secure outdoor learning spaces. The architecture is influenced by regional features on the Island, including Indigenous building forms and materials.
